10. Ouzoud Falls
One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Morocco and all of Northern Africa is without a doubt Ouzoud Falls. They are extremely beautiful throughout the year, but particularly after a particularly big downpour. The picturesque green slopes, mills, orchards, and steep gorges of the ‘El Abid’ river, or ‘Slaves river’ in Arabic, make up the surrounding scenery. At the base of the falls, swimming is an option as well. Access is by an olive tree-lined, shady route. It’s extremely weird to observe entire regiments of monkeys playing in the dusk as the sun sets.
